MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS
Break 1 lb. ground beef into small pieces, placing in a 2-quart or larger
microwavable bowl. Microwave on high setting for 3 to 5 minutes rotating
dish and stirring contents once or twice during cooking. Drain excess from
the bowl.
Add 1/2 cup water, one 8-oz. tin of tomato sauce and Mexene Chili Mix®
contents to bowl stirring and blending each ingredient.
Cover bowl, microwave on high setting for 6-8 minutes, rotating bowl
and stirring every 2 to 3 minutes during cooking. Remove from oven. Allow
to set for 5 minutes prior to serving.
OPTIONAL
For "Chili with Beans" blend into the mixture one 15 oz. can
of Mexene Chili Beans®.
STOVE TOP DIRECTIONS
In a skillet, brown 1 pound ground beef until fully cooked and crumbly.
Drain off all excess fat.
Under low to medium heat, add one cup water, 8-oz. tin of tomato sauce
and Mexene Chili Mix® contents to skillet, stirring and blending each
ingredient.
Bring skillet contents to a simmer and continue to cook uncovered 8 to
minutes or until sauce attains desired consistency or thickness. Remove
from heat.
OPTIONAL
For "Chili with Beans" add one 15 oz. can of Mexene Chili Beans®
or a bean of your choice - kidney, pinto, black bean, etc.
