Wash shrimp in cold water, draining well. Leave shells on shrimp. Divide
shrimp among several baking dishes roughly one layer thick.
Heavily sprinkle black pepper over shrimp in shells until black pepper
covers most of the shells. This will seem to be an excessive amount of pepper
- yet the procedure is correct.

mix. Simmer 5 minutes; remove from heat.
