Yams are a hybrid variety of sweet potato, naturally moist and tasty. Bruce´s uses only the Sweet Heart of the yam, with a triple-stage peeling process that strips away 45% of the outside to get to the tastiest part. And, as with our other Bruce´s vegetable products, our yams are harvested and canned within 24 hours of leaving the field.

Bruce´s Yams are America´s favorite yams. During the Thanksgiving holidays, Bruce´s sells over 35% of all canned yams, equaling millions of cans. Consumers love our yams because they are high in Beta Carotene and carry the Heart Healthy check-mark seal of the American Heart Association.

Bruce´s proprietary manufacturing process peels the yams down to the 'Sweet Heart' of the yam. Small chips and pieces of yams are removed during our processing to produce a golden, moist fleshed, uniform sweet potato in a clear, golden syrup. Additionally, we produce the most complete offering of Sweet Potato products available including Sweet Potato Pie Filling, Sweet Potato Casserole with Topping, Yams in Orange Pineapple Sauce, and Candied Yams. Bruce´s Yam Glaze is a seasoning topping well-suited to fresh or canned sweet potatoes when re-hydrated, microwaved or baked.
